Dauði Baldrs is the fifth studio album by Norwegian black metal group Burzum
Varg Vikernes recorded the album in the cell, with the means he could provide, in this case a synthesizer and a recorder for which the album is instrumental (it also occurs with his next album Hliðskjálf1). This is the first ambient music album, following Nordic mythology, the voice narrates the death of Baldr. The tone of the album is repetitive, following the dark aesthetics of previous works. The album includes an interpretative text written by Vikernes in Germany and Norway about Baldr's death
