The long-awaited 2nd full-length by this Belgian band. Risen from the muddy swamps of Bilzen, back in 2008, Torturerama have always been obsessed by the early 90's Death Metal scene and felt the urge to bring that putrid sound back to life, thus honoring the genre's forefathers of yore. After two EP's, “Left As Remains” (2010) and “It Begins at Birth” (2014), the band gained notice in the underground scene, playing shows, both locally and abroad (France, The Netherlands, Germany). Shortly after, they released their debut full-length album, “Close Encounters of the Morbid Kind” (2015), which helped solidify their status among diehard deathsters. After some lineup changes, a small hiatus and the worldwide pandemic, the band revived, forming a new festering fluid by mangling previous body parts and replacing them with some gangrenous, new blood. Torturerama are purveyors of flesh-ripping madness where chainsaw-dismembering riffs, pulsating bass plasma disruptions, postmortem bludgeoning drums and growls from a deranged mind boil with simmering heat until the stew is rancid enough. Fans of bands such as Autopsy, Carnage, Asphyx, Nihilist/Entombed and Grave shall be pleased. Behold the Elaborate Theatre of the Macabre!
