HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to reissue BESTIAL WARLUST's Demo 1995 on CD, 12” vinyl, and cassette formats, sourced directly from the original master DAT from the vault and newly remastered for this release.
BESTIAL WARLUST are legendary, and hence require no introduction: singlehandedly, the band who truly started WAR METAL as a subgenre with their 1994 debut album, Vengeance War ‘Til Death. A year later, they cemented that legendry with their second (and, so far, final) album, Blood & Valour. A reconfigured lineup yielded just as savage results, but between the two monumental full-lengths existed the lost Demo 1995. Originally released on cassette, Demo 1995 proved that “progression” is for the weak and that regression is the only way to keep their iron fist bloody. At times even more berzerker than that foundational debut album and here featuring production that's alternately rawer and more dynamic than what would come on the subsequent Blood & Valour album, Demo 1995 is a crucial document of these Australians' short-lived and yet incredibly intense aesthetic, made all the more amazing by its reverberations a decade or two after their original dissolution. Of especial note is the epic, acoustic-led instrumental “March of Hells Militia,” which not make it onto Blood & Valour in re-recorded form, and a bonus-track remix of “I, The Warrior.”
Longtime fans HELLS HEADBANGERS, who've already worked with BESTIAL WARLUST on reissues of the rest of their catalog, now complete the circle with a long-overdue reissue of Demo 1995. SATANIC WAR METAL...BESTIAL fucking WARLUST!!!
