Formed in 2017, MELTING ROT quickly made their presence felt in the underground with two EPs in as many years and then a three-way split after that. And while the full-length Blood Delusions followed in 2021 for the cult Headsplit Records, it's arguably MELTING ROT's short-lengths where their rotten grindcore sounds the foulest.
Remembering well the days when ultraviolent, super-underground grindcore reigned supreme, HELLS HEADBANGERS brings those pre-album releases together on one 33-minute slab of sluicing sickness. Appropriately titled Cold Case Files, the full force of the MELTING ROT experience can be felt like a sledgehammer to the brain. No more but definitely no less, this is all-caps GRINDCORE in the grand tradition of early Extreme Noise Terror, Phobia, Nasum, Spain's HAEMORRHAGE, and of course earliest Napalm Death. D-beat to blast to repeat, with heaviness increasing as the years go on (and thus deeper on the 33-minute comp) – even fans of prime Goatpenis will find much to melt their faces with these Cold Case Files.
