This CD is truly unique for a black metal release. Most of the songs seem to have a slight melodic vocal feel while maintaining the brutality and rawness of previous black metal. There's also some pretty interesting instrumental work. However, the album has its drawbacks and is quite unpleasant, and it extracted songs that could definitely use some work.
