"Imaginary Sonicscape" was the fifth studio album by the Japanese avant-garde black metal band Sigh, released in 2001. It marked a significant step in the band's evolution, pushing their experimental tendencies even further than their previous work. While still rooted in black metal, it incorporated elements from a vast array of genres, including jazz, classical music, progressive rock, hard rock, psychedelic music, electronic music (dub, disco, easy-space pop), and even occasional touches of stoner metal, baroque, and fusion. This created a constantly shifting and unpredictable sonic landscape. Praised by critics and fans, it's still considered a classic landmark of avantgarde black metal. Reissued in digipak format with booklet and new liner notes by the mastermind Mirai!
